OCTO Cloud Architect (793546)

Description

OCTO is seeking a Cloud Architect to assist with the continued build out of its multi cloud environment. This position will support OCTO and partner agencies in the migration of systems, build out of secure environments, configuration of vendor cloud services.  The candidate must coordinate with OCTO Security and DC-NET teams to support requests and changes for firewalls and network routing.  The candidate will apply best practices for cloud architecture and design to provide scalable, flexible and sustainable cloud deployments.  This includes automated deployments through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.  Candidate must be able to work with vendors and independently to create architecture diagrams and complex multi cloud integrations with various DC systems.  Architected designs must be monitorable and be cost effective solutions and deployments.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

• Deep expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including core services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and security--Required 10 Years
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture--Required 10 Years
• Proven track record of cloud migrations and modernization projects--Required 10 Years
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures--Required 10 Years
• Demonstratable work experience with Hybrid converged data centers and clouds--Required 10 Years
• Design and implementation of cloud solutions--Required 7 Years
• Cost optimization, Risk assessment and mitigation planning for cloud infrastructure--Required 7 Years
• Networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, firewalls)--Required 5 Years
• Security and compliance frameworks (Zero Trust, encryption, IAM, compliance standards like FedRAMP for government)--Required 5 Years
• Scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)--Required 5 Years
• Monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)--Required 5 Years
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices--Required 3 Years
