Advanced Multi Sign Corp. is an award-winning sign company specializing in the manufacturing and installation of internally illuminated signage, primarily for exterior applications.
We are seeking a motivated, dependable Sign Installer Helper to join our installation team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using tools, solving problems, and learning a skilled trade.
You will work directly with experienced sign installers and assist with the safe and efficient installation, service, and removal of commercial signage. For the right person, this position offers an opportunity to develop valuable electrical, mechanical, and installation skills with a career path toward becoming a professional Sign Installer.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced installers with the installation, service, removal, and replacement of commercial signs.
- Prepare tools, materials, hardware, and equipment needed for each installation.
- Assist with loading and unloading signs, equipment, and installation materials.
- Work safely at heights of 20 feet or more using appropriate equipment and fall-protection procedures.
- Assist with basic electrical work and troubleshooting under the direction of experienced installers.
- Use basic diagnostic equipment, including multimeters/ohmmeters, when required.
- Assist with the safe operation and setup of boom trucks, lifts, ladders, power tools, and other installation equipment.
- Use drills, hand tools, mechanical tools, and related equipment safely and correctly.
- Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical installation issues in the field.
- Read and follow basic technical drawings, measurements, schematics, and installation instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite and work vehicle.
- Follow company procedures and all applicable safety requirements.
- Work cooperatively with installers, project managers, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and installation techniques.
- Ability to understand measurements, technical drawings, schematics, or electrical diagrams is a plus.
- Previous experience in construction, electrical work, maintenance, mechanical work, sign installation, or a related trade is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
- Physically able to lift and carry materials and perform tasks involving standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working with tools throughout the workday.
