Press Brake Operator is responsible to assist with the everyday production of the shop. At any given time, this position can be cross training on fabrication machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
- *Work close with others to make sure assigned task are completed before end of shift
- *Cross train in all areas of production, including operating machinery
- *Keep all areas on the production floor clean and organized
- *Very important to take great care the machines, tools, and equipment provided by the company.
- Report any safety issues and report inventory
- Have previous experience in operating press break machinery
Requirement
Minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred on any type of Press Brake machinery. Some related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; airborne particles and vibration. Employees are occasionally exposed to hot/cold or humid conditions non-weather: outdoor weaner conditions: cold (non-weather): and heat ton-weather
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to work overtime.
