DESCRIPTION: Directs the maintenance programs and processes of the facilities to ensure timely and effective productions. Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new installation. Oversees facilities design, inspections and equipment repair. Manages day-to-day performance of maintenance staff, ensuring that project/department goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and outside contractors associated with the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of injections molding machines, auxiliary equipment, PLC and HMI equipment and programming, building systems and general facilities.
- Review work orders to establish priorities, schedule repairs and preventative maintenance accordingly to improve machine uptime.
- Oversee equipment and automation integration as well as in selection and installation.
- Maintain key supplier and outside service relationships related to maintenance.
- Collaborate with automation, operations and engineering to stay up to date with, and continually assess our skill and technology level in regards to in-house equipment and new technologies available.
- Actively facilitate the growth and development process of each maintenance department team member and the collaboration between them.
- Development and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance team.
- Prepare and maintain timely and accurate documentation related to maintenance team performance evaluations, personal issues injuries and accidents.
- Back up maintenance team by providing support and assistance with daily work as needed.
- Promote and adhere to workplace core values of Advanced Molding Technologies.
- Promote Operational Excellence and 6S initiatives by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Actively participate in, implement and direct environmental safety program.
- Participate in internal and external audits related OSHA & ISO compliance.
- Support the QMS system by ensuring compliance with applicable regulations through proper documentation and record keeping.
- Promote and support idea creation for new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and facilitate greater utilization of maintenance labor and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications: (Education, Training, Skills, and Experience)
- Two-year technical or associates degree related to electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or engineering/maintenance technology with a concentration in automation/robotics systems OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of maintenance experience in plastic injection molding.
- 3 or more years of leadership and management experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of electrical, fluid power, hydraulics, fabrication, PLC/Ladder Logic, automation, HMI, Preventative Maintenance systems management, facilities and building systems.
- Working knowledge of Leader Standard Work, managing KPIs, Quality Management Systems and ISO 13485.
- Experience utilizing growth, development and succession planning methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in planning and maintenance operations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Advanced understanding Overall Equipment Effectiveness concepts as related to maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,153.00 - $95,599.00 per year
