THE ROLE:

This critical role within AMD's Corporate Treasury involves cash forecasting, working capital management, trade finance, and liquidity planning. It requires extensive interaction with business partners and AMD executives, as well as participation in strategic initiatives.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, possess a strong analytical mindset, and exhibit a drive for achieving results. Additionally, the candidate should have robust problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial statements and corporate finance theory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather information from various functions and company data sets to ensure an accurate and optimized short-to-medium-term cash forecast
• Partner with FP&A and Treasury peers on financial modeling for medium to long term cash flow statement and balance sheet forecasts
• Collaborate effectively with international partners, including the Credit & Collections and Accounts Payable teams, to ensure accuracy of onshore liquidity forecasting
• Support and drive Treasury IT automation projects related to cash planning
• Collaborate with technical accounting team on accounting treatment of cash flow items and required disclosures
• Perform financial statement analysis to assess counterparty risk

Preferred qualifications:

• Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or FP&A experience with a bachelor’s degree or experience with an MBA
• Demonstrated capability in excel Macros VBA, Power Queries, Python, or other programming languages
• Communication and presentation skills with executive presentation experience
• Experienced in managing multiple projects and meeting competing deadlines
• Ability to drive results in a dynamic fast paced business environment with a desire to continuously improve existing processes
• Ability to clearly communicate priorities, deliverables, issues, and results to management
• Experienced in working in a global team environment with different time zones
• Working knowledge of Executive data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc. 
• Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or FP&A experience
• Strong proficiency in Financial Modeling
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite capabilities (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated understanding of three financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash flows) and their interdependence
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and internal/external customer service skills
• Attention to detail, drive for results and a team player

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
