THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a talented leader to lead the strategy and execution of next-generation rack-scale Helios networking solutions, driving innovation and production deployment while engaging closely with hyperscalers and cloud leaders.
THE PERSON:
We are seeking a visionary Senior Director Software Development to lead the strategy, development, and deployment of next-generation rack-scale Helios solutions and scale-up switch software. This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive innovation, influence product roadmaps, and deliver high-performance, resilient solutions for hyperscalers, cloud providers, and emerging NeoCloud environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategy and execution for next-generation rack-scale Helios networking solutions and management system software from design through production deployment.
- Engage directly with strategic customers to understand requirements, present solutions, and influence product roadmap.
- Drive innovation in rack-scale networking technologies, ensuring best-in-class performance, resiliency, and visibility across solutions.
- Shape roadmap and feature planning based on customer insights and market trends, aligning with business priorities.
- Manage architectural complexity and platform diversity across multiple vendor ecosystems, guaranteeing quality, scale, and performance.
- Provide thought leadership on rack-scale networking systems, influencing technical direction and operational excellence across teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience managing complex software products and bringing them to production.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, scale organizations, and manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems or rack-scale solutions in production environments.
- Deep understanding of networking, storage, and compute architectures, including RDMA, disaggregated memory, and far-memory concepts.
- Experience working with hyperscalers, cloud providers, and OEM partners on complex integrations.
- Strong ability to influence product strategy, manage cross-functional teams, and drive execution in fast-paced environments.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
