THE ROLE: 

The Strategy Leader will play a key role including being responsible for developing long term strategies for Enterprise AI and maintaining a critical understanding of the road map used to attack the market. Also responsible for analyzing competitive environments and recommending plans of action that will maximize AMD’s profitability and returns. 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal person for this role will have a passion for innovation, being comfortable defining a way forward in the face of ambiguity and can scale and influence. Will be comfortable working in a collaborative, fast paced environment and have team working skills. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop long term strategy for Enterprise AI at AMD
• Drive AMD's roadmap for both hardware and software for Enterprise.

• • Hardware focuses on PCIe card evolution, APU integration, and discrete GPU
  • Software focuses on integration into Kubernetes stack, cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI and Neo-Clouds), higher level stack including inference microservices, and fine-tuning flows.

• Work with the AI ISV team to pioneer vertical specific AI use cases including financial services & Healthcare - expanding to other verticals including logistics, manufacturing and government.

• • Working with customers and vertical ISVs with expertise in vertical areas (e.g. Absci, Ansys, Murex etc) to create compelling solution

• Engage with CTO office at AMD and senior technical leaders
• Demonstrate thought leadership within the technical community

• • Speak on behalf of AMD at industry events, assist corporate marketing with technical positioning

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Demonstrable experience with market analysis, derisking, ISV partner alignments, and short- and long-term technology road mapping 
• Experience in product marketing, product management or business development with a high-tech company around SW development/deployment with various business verticals
• Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills for things such as key notes, and executive, customer, engineering, business comms
• Experience successfully managing a P&L statement for business vertical 
• Demonstrated history of strategic, innovative approach to problem solving 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred
