THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a software engineers as part of the core team developing DirectX/Direct3D drivers for AMD GPUs. In this role, you will work with the very latest hardware and software technology with a focus on D3D driver quality, improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks, and support for new Direct3D 12 features.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. Passionate about learning, good software engineering, problem solving, and new technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The development, debugging, and performance tuning of graphics software running on Microsoft Windows
- The ability to debug low level hardware and operating system functionality is desired
- Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent C/C programming skills
- Experience programming and optimizing games
- Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and organization
- 3D Graphics API knowledge and experience (D3D, OpenGL, or Vulkan)
- 3D graphics driver knowledge and experience
- Windows development experience
- OS and performance knowledge and experience
- Experience with multi-threading and concurrent programming
- Familiarity with performance analysis tools
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
