THE ROLE: 

We are seeking an engineer to join our team that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, using effective communication, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well-suited for our team.  

 

THE PERSON:  

As a Technical Leader in Systems Design Engineering, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your software and hardware systems engineering expertise will be necessary towards product ramp, customer issue debug and root cause resolution using the evolving Agentic AI skillset.  

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities to debug customer issues in the most efficient way, developing custom AI agents for targeted debug use cases. 
  • Technical and procedural methodology enhancements, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives. 
  • Debugging customer issues during bring-up, NPI and production phases of AI System Solutions including Rack servers. 
  • Working with multiple teams and driving debug execution to make sure we ungate customers in a timely manner.
  • Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks to optimize customer solutions.
  • Leading collaborative approach with multiple teams. 

PREFERRED SKILLS:  

  • Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and customer enablement. 
  • Solid Agentic AI skills using Cursor, Claude and other agentic AI Tools.
  • Proven Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C , Perl, Ruby, Python). 
  • Expert System level Debug techniques, automation and methodologies.   
  • Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. 
  • Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
