The Person:
We are seeking an accomplished Technical Fellow with background and expertise in x86 Architecture, advanced CPU core micro-architecture, high performance computing, and efficient/low-power design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Influence the ISA decisions and directions for AMD CPUs.
- Influence and contribute to Zen core microcode uArch and implementation
- Contribute to improved security architecture of AMD CPUs
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve Arch and uArch methodologies
Required Experience:
- Recognized technical expertise in CPU uArch
- Recognized technical expertise in Intel/AMD ISA
- Recognized technical expertise in Arm and competitive ISA
- Recognized technical expertise in the required uArch to deliver high performance, high efficiency CPU cores across ISA
- Demonstrated hands-on experience and delivery of highly complex CPUs
- Strong record of innovation, demonstrated by publications or patent portfolio
- Experience collaborating with large teams
- Communication skills and abilities to influence peers, business units, and management; in addition to mentoring junior engineers
