Advanced Metalcraft is a leader in precision sheet metal fabrication, serving a wide range of industries. We take pride in being family owned and operated for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Press Brake Operator to join our growing team!
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating press brakes, with a strong background in precision fabrication. This role involves set-up tasks, including assisting with production planning, and providing technical guidance to other operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brakes (Amada experience preferred)
- Select proper dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form a variety of parts accurately
- Form parts to precise angles and lengths without relying solely on work instructions
- Determine proper forming sequences for multiple-hit parts with or without work instructions
- Assist with setups and support production planning as needed
- Accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings
- Follow verbal and written work instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Active participation in quality control procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of press brake operation and set-up experience
- Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
- Solid understanding of metal forming, setup techniques, and forming sequences
- Solid problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
