We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser & Punch Setup Operator to run our advanced AMADA Punch/Laser Combo and standalone Fiber Laser production centers. [1, 2]
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and Operate: Safely set up, adjust, and operate both an AMADA Punch/Laser combo machine and a high-speed Fiber Laser. [1]
- Automation & Material Handling: Manage and troubleshoot integrated automated tower/loading systems to ensure continuous production and minimal downtime.
- Tooling & Optics: Select, install, and align turret punch tooling; maintain fiber laser nozzles, optics, and focus adjustments for clean cutting. [1, 2, 3]
- Read Blueprints: Interpret complex precision sheet metal fabrication blueprints and flat pattern drawings.
- Quality Control: First-article and in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to uphold strict ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for long periods of time on the shop floor.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC punch, CO2/Fiber lasers, or punch/laser combo machines (AMADA equipment highly preferred).
- Hands-on experience running automated material handling systems is highly helpful.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, gas selection (Nitrogen/Oxygen), and nesting principles.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. [1]
