Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.
Our Level 1 Automotive Technician will complete our fleet mechanic team by performing routine, preventative maintenance on our fleet of emergency and transport vehicles. This is a second shift position, Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs routine maintenance on vehicles such as replacing spark plugs and shock absorbers, checking and balancing wheels, checking for proper tire alignment and performing minor tune ups and oil changes.
- Assist with routine electrical work on automotive equipment such as installing batteries, repairing and adjusting lights.
- Potential to assist senior mechanics with engine rebuild and complex repairs

Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance; active or prior education in auto repair, a plus
