Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance and patient transport services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.
As part of our Illini Medical Transport team, you will be responsible for ensuring patients’ compassionate, safe and efficient transfer between healthcare facilities. This position will post from our East Peoria location and serve all local markets and hospitals.
Job Duties:
- Supervise patients during transportation
- Assist the patient in and out of the shuttle vehicle with use of wheelchair
- Comfort patients and families by offering support and encouragement, respecting procedure schedules, and demonstrating care and cultural sensitivity
- Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
- Conduct vehicle inspections and regular vehicle cleaning duties
- Maintain current State of Illinois drivers license
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Present and promote a positive company image
