Accounting Clerk part-time

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

The Accounting Clerk role at AMT is responsible for supporting the department with a variety of accounting and clerical tasks. It is essential for this role to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, assistance with transactions, and maintaining organized financial documents.

Job Duties: 

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry and payment processing
• Maintain and update financial records, databases, and filing systems
• Assist with payroll processing and timesheet verification
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
• Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and responding to internal inquiries

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical work preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
