Advanced Medical Services, an occupational health clinic in Parma, Ohio, is hiring a Male Medical Assistant to support our clinical team with patient care, occupational health services, and drug testing procedures.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment. Because this position includes directly observed drug screen collections for male patients, a male Medical Assistant is needed to perform same-gender observed collections in accordance with drug testing protocols and patient privacy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers and clinical staff with occupational health exams and patient visits
- Perform drug screen collections, including observed collections when required
- Complete breath alcohol testing, if trained or certified
- Take and record patient vitals
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Accurately document patient information and testing details
- Assist with DOT and non-DOT occupational health services
- Follow clinic procedures, confidentiality standards, and compliance requirements
- Provide a professional and respectful experience for patients and employers
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Occupational health, urgent care, or drug testing experience is a plus
- Must be comfortable performing observed drug screen collections for male patients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Professional communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive situations respectfully
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
