Advanced Medical Management (AMM) is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function across a growing healthcare organization. This role will oversee Human Resources and Talent Acquisition operations supporting multiple healthcare entities, including Independent Physician Associations (IPAs) and Management Services Organizations (MSOs).

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader with strong healthcare experience, a deep understanding of multi-state employment law, and a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams. This position will work closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce planning initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for Human Resources, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Lead and mentor a team consisting of HR Managers, HR Generalists, HR Assistants, and Recruiters.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop workforce strategies that support business goals and organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong focus on California labor regulations.
  • Serve as the primary resource for complex employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and performance management.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, leave administration, and employee engagement programs.
  • Develop and maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and company procedures across multiple entities and states.
  • Partner with Compliance and Operations teams to support credentialing requirements, HIPAA training, and workforce compliance initiatives.
  • Guide recruiting efforts and workforce planning strategies to attract and retain top healthcare and corporate talent.
  • Utilize HR systems and reporting tools to monitor key workforce metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in a Director-level or senior HR leadership role.
  • Experience managing HR operations across multiple states and business entities.
  • At least 5 years of HR leadership experience within a healthcare organization, preferably an IPA, MSO, ACO, medical group, or health plan.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour regulations, leave laws, employee relations, and workplace compliance.
  • Experience leading HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience supporting organizations through periods of growth and organizational change.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
  • 7 years' of professional HR experience, ideally from a services oriented business, with a combination of corporate and business unit line experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work


Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
