Job Overview
We are seeking a Respiratory Technician to join our Respiratory team. Responsible for administering and educating patients with mask fits, CPAPs, and associated inventory. Helping at front desk and ready to pivot responsibilities based on needs of the day.
Duties
Implements Advanced Medical Homecare Supply's Mission Statement and core values
· Greet patients professionally both in person and on the phone
· Answering and triaging phone calls appropriately
· Must provide a high level of customer service to patients, referrals and pay sources.
· Responsible for maintaining a strong working knowledge of products and services, company policies and procedures.
· Understanding of equipment/products sold
· Assist patients with supplies
· Troubleshoot with patients, machines and supplies
· Ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies
· Making records requests
· Time management and organizational skills
· Ensure proper patient information is maintained electronically and/or in paper customer files
· Collects patient signatures on required documents and collects money from customers when appropriate
· Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
· Stay current on governmental and other rules and regulations
· Maintain safe, clean, and organized front desk and patient waiting area by keeping all working areas including desks and shelves neat.
· Educates and provides proper training to patients with relation to their home medical equipment to facilitate safe and effective use and desired care, treatment and service outcomes.
· Knowledge and understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
· Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) activities
· Participates, on an ongoing basis, in traditional learning programs.
· Address complaints concerning services rendered
Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) – bachelor’s degree a plus; One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background checks are performed before hiring.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
