POSITION SUMMARY:
As a massage therapist, your duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities beyond providing massage services. This position requires regular use of discretion and judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties and tasks may be assigned):
Guest Services:
Provide high-quality massage therapy services tailored to individual guest needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
Administrative Duties:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Guest Relations:
Build strong, lasting relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
Educate guests on the benefits of massage therapy and promote additional services offered by the spa or clinic.

Flexibility and Adaptability:
Adapt massage techniques and approaches based on guest preferences and physical conditions.
Be willing to adjust your schedule to accommodate last-minute bookings or changes.
Remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, such as handling multiple guests or addressing unexpected issues.
Stay updated with the latest massage techniques, trends, and continuing education opportunities.
Be willing to learn and integrate new skills or services that enhance guest experience and business growth.
Team Collaboration:
Providing regular updates to the practice manager on therapist performance and any operational issues.
Collaborating closely with the practice manager to ensure smooth daily operations and strategic alignment with practice goals.
Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging open communication and teamwork.
Support colleagues by sharing knowledge, techniques, and guest information when appropriate.
Step in to cover shifts or appointments for team members who are unavailable.
Promote a culture of respect, trust, and cooperation within the team.
Feedback and Improvement:
Regularly provide constructive feedback to team members to help them improve their skills and performance.
Encourage feedback from team members about ways to improve the overall functioning and efficiency of the team.
Compenation:
This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation is based on a commission structure in accordance with the Company’s commission plan. Employees are eligible for overtime pay as required by applicable federal and state law. Total compensation will meet or exceed all applicable minimum wage requirements for each pay period, in accordance with federal and Washington State law. All hours worked must be accurately recorded in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
Must hold and maintain a current State license.
Attendance at all meetings, training, in-services, and other arrangements deemed important to business development by management.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mentor and train new massage therapists, providing guidance and support.
Lead by example, maintaining high standards of professionalism and service.
