Facilities Assistant

The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, a demanding college preparatory charter school, is seeking to hire committed, skilled, and inspiring educators. AMSA is committed to preparing all students to succeed in college and beyond. Located in Marlborough, MA, AMSA includes 6th through 12th grade classes. The Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School is currently accepting applications for a Facilities Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. Responsibilities -Assist with routine facilities maintenance tasks, including repairs and inspections across various buildings. -Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies at all times. -Shoveling and salting campus walkways -Delivering packages and copy paper -General janitorial support -General Maintenance -Set up for school events -Other duties as assigned Work hours are 7:00 am - 2:30 pm. These are subject to change based on weather and the needs of the school. Requirements -Maintenance and repair experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed preferred. -Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment. -Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, juggling many tasks and requests; and to organize, prioritize, and complete a large volume of varying requests by a multitude of users. -A desire to learn new things and a willingness to apply problem solving and troubleshooting methodologies. -Bending, pushing, moving, lifting moderately heavy objects, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and diagnostic equipment, bending, kneeling, and seeing. -Ability to lift 50lbs.
