PANEL SHOP TECHNICIAN
Advanced Manufacturing Technology is a growing Loveland manufacturer who specializes in the design, installation, and start-up of electrical/mechanical system machinery in the packaging industry. AMT is seeking a Panel Shop Technician who has a good balance of both organizational and electrical project management skills.
Experience desired for Electrical Panel Shop Technician
- Wiring of 480vac motors
- Wiring of motor disconnects
- Mounting and wiring of electrical components to machinery i.e. (photoelectric eyes, proxes, solenoid `valves)
- Should be able to read and work from standard NFPA 79 style electrical schematics.
- Use of basic hand and power tools
- Some lifting, bending and long term standing required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work alongside engineering to solve problems
- Good communication skills
- Available to work overtime including some weekends.
- Good understanding of electrical safety practices i.e. (Lock Out Tag Out)
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electronics education minimum 2 year experience or equivalent work experience.
SKILLS:
- Electrical/Mechanical background.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with volt meters, oscilloscopes and basic hand tools.
- Ability to read blue prints, schematics and job orders.
- Basic math skills. (be able to convert decimals to fractions/fractions to decimals down to 1/16th inch increments.)
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Time management.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiar with Autocad a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work 8 or 10 hour shifts. Weekends as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a shop/manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
