Role Description
The Precision Grinder is a full-time, on-site position located in Fort Wayne, IN at our AMT Precision Parts facility. In this role, the Precision Grinder will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to achieve high levels of precision on a variety of components. Responsibilities may include manual & CNC surface grinding, measuring and inspecting precision components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that fabricated parts meet quality standards. Collaboration with the production and engineering teams to meet project goals is also a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience with Grinding and using various types of Grinders
- Proficiency in Surface Grinding and Precision Machining
- Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold high-quality standards
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred
- MasterCam experience is a plus
- Physical ability to operate grinding equipment and perform hands-on manufacturing tasks
