Join our dynamic team as an Equipment Operator/Laborer. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery working many different Forestry projects. The Forestry team at ALM tackles projects such as Fire Fuel Reduction, Thinning (Commercial and Pre-Commercial), Habitat Restoration, Land Clearing (Residential,Development) and much more! Your expertise will help maintain safety standards while delivering quality results to our many diverse clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation and build your knowledge in a growing industry. All within a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of machines including skid steers, excavators, dedicated mulchers and harvester/processors.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment such as to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures.
- Drive commercial trucks for transporting equipment safely across job sites while following all safety regulations.
- Follow all safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Adaptability, when a job site has challenges such as weather, soil, or vegetation changes.
- Knowledge of, and adherence to all safety protocols on-site.
- Valid commercial driving license or willing to obtain.
- Willing and able to work with a team when on a job site with multiple machines.
- Able to maintain excellent communication with project managers.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
