JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Quality Control Inspector
Department: Quality Control
Position Summary: Perform all inspection activities related to purchased or manufactured materials, subcomponents, assemblies and packaging.
Essential Functions:
Provide inspection services in one or more inspection functions (i.e. incoming, in-process and final inspection.)
Determine the acceptability of purchased or manufactured materials, subcomponents, assemblies and packaging.
Accurately report the findings using the current systems (this may include retention of samples, preparing paper reports and/or using software to report labor and data).
Work with other departments to ensure awareness and communication of product and material issues.
Promote, enhance and improve the Quality Management System.
Required Skills
1. Ability to read and interpret all drawings, specifications and external documentation necessary to determine the acceptability of product.
2. Ability to accurately use small mechanical inspection tools (i.e. micrometers, force gauges, calipers and electrical meters) needed for assigned inspection function.
3. Ability to document the results of inspection, including electronic records. This would include Inspection plans, first piece inspection, retained samples, Non-conforming Material Reports.
4. Ability to sample product using standard inspection plans.
Desired Skills
5. Ability to develop Inspection Plans by identifying characteristics on drawing and entering tolerances into inspection plan templates.
6. Ability to interpret statistical control data.
7. Lean manufacturing principle application.
Other Accountabilities:
1. Undertake special projects to support new products and accelerated delivery schedules.
2. May be requested to provide inspection services at a vendor or customer's location.
3. Perform similar work-related duties as required. This may include training, housekeeping, lean team activities, risk assessment activities, and corrective actions.

Qualifications:
· Three years related experience.
· Ability to read and write English
· Ability to be trained on computer software.

- Ability to use Visual Measurement Machines.

- Ability to program VMM and Programable force gages.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
