Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

The primary focus of the position is inventory control and procurement. The Procurement Specialist will organize the company’s inventory, maintain proper inventory levels and internal communications regarding inventory, maintain knowledge of prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly inventory orders to vendors
• Direct and oversee cycle counts
• Track and communicate receipt of orders
• Provide daily uploads of inventory levels to customers
• Serve as a bridge between suppliers and various departments to troubleshoot procurement issues.
• Monitor inventory levels, including minimum, maximum, and safety stocks, and make inventory adjustment recommendations to management.
• Track supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of products meeting specified requirements. Maintain records of supplier meetings to monitor compliance with company standards.
• Balance the material demand/supply and minimize stockout risk by analyzing the current inventory, forecasting the future needs, and scheduling the suppliers' shipments accordingly
• Offer solutions to help the company better manage costs on supplies and vendor services.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  

2.1-2 years of related experience.

• Previous ordering and inventory control experience with large number of SKUs is preferred.
