Purpose:

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue and revenue opportunities, supporting the Company’s revenue growth initiatives. This role focuses on lead generation, outbound prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and developing client relationships - resulting in signed contracts, projects, and bids awarded to the Company. The role fills a critical need in building the sales pipeline and contributing to the Company’s overall growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Lead Generation – Research target market/segments and potential customers/clients, executes outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to generate interest, schedules introductory meetings, maintains a high level of activity and pipeline generation to meet targets.

Sales Support – Qualifies both inbound and outbound leads, gathers customer needs and pain points, prepares information/presentations to deliver tailored solutions to prospective and client needs, updates the CRM system(s) to ensure accurate data tracking, collaborates and or optimizes messaging and marketing campaigns.

Customer Relationship Development – Builds rapport with potential and actual clients through consistent, professional communication, nurtures early-stage leads until they are ready for handoff, represents the Company’s brand, values, and offerings in a positive and professional manner.

Market Research & Intelligence – Identifies industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential new markets, provides feedback, contributes insights to help shape outreach strategies and positioning.

Collaboration & Teamwork – Works to ensure smooth handoff of business to Project Managers, handles sales efforts during events such as trade shows, spearheads sales, marketing and advertising campaigns.

Reporting & Performance Tracking – Maintains detailed records of outreach activities, tracks progress toward monthly and quarterly quotas, provides regular reporting, recommends improvements in outreach and qualification processes.

Other – Other duties, roles, and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage prospects and build rapport.
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle objections and remain persistent while maintaining professionalism.
  • Comfortable using CRM software, email outreach platforms, and sales tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage daily outreach volume.
  • Basic understanding of sales cycles, customer decision-making, and market research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work primarily in an office or remote environment with prolonged periods of computer use.
  • Capacity to attend networking events, trade shows, or client meetings as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials (up to 20 pounds).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (Preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related role(s).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Previous internship or experience in business development or sales (Preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for client visits or events.
