Overview
Inspect and electrically test control panels in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect panels for fit and finish.
- Continuity checking of electrical circuits and troubleshooting of wiring issues
- Variable frequency drive programming
- Programmable logic controller flashing and setup
- Attention to detail and self-motivated
- Must be able to accurately complete test reports and other paperwork
- Function testing of relay logic and PLC input/output to test drive, motor starters, etc.
- Contribute to the company's continuous improvement processes
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must practice good/safe housekeeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must comply with PPE requirements.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics is required. This includes knowledge of schematic symbols, panel components and general wiring practices.
- Understanding of AC and DC circuits is required.
- Previous control panel building/testing experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with 480V industrial panels is highly preferred
- Current UL MTR certification is highly preferred-Includes shift differential
- Employee must be proficient in both spoken and written English
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, work may also be required in a seated position.
