Position Summary
Provides back-up coverage in the High Resolution, Rust, RAA, and AIC Clinic’s for the Greeter, Receptionist, and Registrar positions. Assists the Front Office Supervisor and the Supervisor of Scheduling as assigned.
Position Schedule
Hours: Sunday 7am-6:30pm, Monday-Thursday hours vary depending on need. Days off Friday/Saturday.
Position may include extended hours and Saturdays.

Typical Physical Demands
Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Will occasionally lift files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens and to work in an environment which can be very stressful.
Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in an outpatient radiology office environment. Work may be stressful at times due to a high volume of patients in all clinics administrative departments and handling multiple tasks at once.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greeter
-
Greets/screens visitors and patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.

Instructs patient to sign in.

Verifies patient appointment and advises patient to have ID card and insurance available for Registration.

Identify the location of refreshments and restrooms to the patient.

Receive and process payments.

Distribute patient exam preps.

Tracks timeliness of patient arrival.

Assures exam preps are restocked.

Serves as back-up to Administrative Receptionist answering incoming calls and overhead pages.

Maintains work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner.

Maintains strictest confidentiality.

Closes the Clinic at the end of the day.

Administrative Receptionist

Opens the Clinic in the morning.

Answer incoming calls, screens/directs calls to appropriate personnel or pages overhead.

Distribute patient exam preps.

Receive and process payments.

Track patient x-ray activity.

Serves as back-up to Greeter.

Maintains strictest confidentiality.

Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned.
Registrar
-
Checks in patients by obtaining, verifying, and updating demographic and insurance information in the Radiology Information System.

Scan and link pertinent support documents.

Receive and process payments.

Maintains strictest confidentiality.

Qualifications:Education
High school graduation or GED.
Experience
Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience in front office (Greeter, Receptionist, and Registrar) preferred. Efficient in Word and Excel.
