Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Full-Time Position 2pm-10pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team at Advanced Rehabilitation & Healthcare of Live Oak in Live Oak, Texas. As a CNA, you will provide non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for our residents.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing bed linens
• Assist with resident recreation programs and prepare residents for meals and snacks
• Read and follow daily care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge
• Document care provision on resident records/flowsheets as required and report accidents and incidents
• Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor
• Maintain a safe, clean, and infection-free environment by following safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures
  
  
  

Safety, Sanitation, and Infection Control:

• Understand and follow safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures, including proper hand washing, wearing of masks and gloves, and reporting of violations to the supervisor
  
  
  

In-service and Continuing Education:

• Attend orientation and in-service as required by the state
• Complete all required online education as deemed necessary by the state and the facility
  
  
  

Resident Rights and Relationships:

• Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding residents' rights
• Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators
  
  
  

Other Job Functions:

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
• Attend and participate in training, educational activities, and staff meetings
• Assist with orientation and training of other staff
  
  
  

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

• Work in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment
• Work in an office and throughout the building daily
• Ability to walk, reach, climb, bend, lift, grasp, fine hand coordination, push, and pull
• Ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures
• Ability to communicate with residents and employees
• Ability to understand and follow training
• Ability to instruct staff in service education
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the State
• Must have ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
