Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Nurse Practitioner to join our private primary care practice on a part-time basis. The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages in a welcoming rural healthcare setting. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and promoting overall patient wellness while working collaboratively with the supervising physician.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services, including wellness exams and sick visits.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with Georgia law.
- Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with the physician and healthcare team to provide quality patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists when appropriate and provide follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Current Georgia Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority, if applicable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the supervising physician.
- Previous primary care or family medicine experience is preferred but not required.
