Job description:
Advanced Health Institute is looking for CMA's to join our team. We service Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Facilities with our clinical teams. The role is to support the providers at these client locations.
Job Functions:
- Greets patient and escorts them to the exam room
- Prepares patient for the provider
- Room and manage patient flow
- Takes and records patients vitals (temperature, weight, blood pressure)
- Enters patients chief complaint and past medical information in system
- Draws blood
- Schedule follow up appointments for patients
- Prepares, administers and provides educational material to patients based on visit
- Faxes or calls in prescriptions
- Clean, prepare, organize and re-stock exam
- Supports patient care by helping the providers during examinations
License Requirements
- Completion of Medical Assistant Certification
Education Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Skill in prioritizing work and assignments while staying organized
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Skill in problem solving
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to patients
- Ability to adapt to in changes to schedule
