Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
- Conduct preventive vascular screenings, including:
- Abdominal Aorta
- Carotid Arteries
- Thyroid
- Selected Lower Extremity Venous Studies
- Ensure patient comfort while providing compassionate, professional care.
- Explain ultrasound procedures and answer patient questions.
- Accurately document examination findings and maintain patient records.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure optimal performance.
- Follow appropriate infection control and aseptic protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in diagnostic ultrasound and imaging technology.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification preferred (or eligible if applicable).
- Experience performing vascular ultrasound studies is preferred.
- OB/GYN ultrasound experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality imaging.
