Role Description This is a contract, on-site Cardiologist role based in Sarasota, FL. The Cardiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient and potentially inpatient setting. Daily responsibilities include performing and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with primary care providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. The role may involve participation in non-invasive and invasive procedures as appropriate to training and credentialing, as well as optimizing preventive care and risk factor modification. The Cardiologist will also document clinical encounters accurately, maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional standards, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical foundation in Medicine, including internal medicine training and evidence-based practice.
- Advanced expertise in Cardiology, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Proficiency in Nuclear Medicine for cardiovascular diagnostics, such as stress testing and imaging, as applicable.
- Experience or fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology and/or Vascular medicine is highly desirable.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited cardiology fellowship.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology; additional sub-specialty certification is a plus.
- Active, unrestricted Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain) and current DEA registration.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and clear, respectful communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
