What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Advanced Hand Therapy?
Advanced Hand Therapy is a one-of-a-kind independently owned outpatient rehab clinic specializing in treatments of the entire upper extremity. We are hiring an occupational therapist or a certified occupational therapy assistant to help care for our patients. On the job training is provided, no experience is necessary. This is a full time position.
On the job training provided you will be taught how to:
- Address client's aspects of performance to support engagement in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living
- Follow the treatment plan and structured goals set up by the certified hand therapist and any providers.
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve mobility
- Provide strength training and education to patients on safety and body mechanics
- Learn and participate in splint making
- Document progress on long-and short-term treatment goals
