We are currently looking for an experienced industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This critical position will ensure all AFE operations equipment are maintained and in good working order in our Filter and Exhaust production departments, including preventive maintenance on key equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and possess advanced electrical and hydraulic systems experience with familiarity with PLCs preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines.
- Conducts preventive maintenance checks, troubleshoots and diagnoses machine operation issues and schedules repairs as required.
- Implements preventive maintenance schedule and protocols to enhance equipment longevity.
- Controls downtime by communicating preventive maintenance schedule to department leads and management.
- Performs mechanical repairs, part repairs and replacement, and troubleshooting to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery.; performs tests and adjusts as needed as part of preventive maintenance or troubleshooting of machinery.
- Complies with all established safety regulations, Lock/Out Tag/Out, and machine safety as well as adheres to all PPE requirements and reports any hazards to management immediately.
- May operates forklift as required.
- Communicates and works closely with Operators to maintain clear communication and understanding of the equipment status to enable an uninterrupted production schedule.
- Participates in meetings regarding maintenance and/or improvement projects pertaining to equipment as needed.
Requirements:
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a variety of production machinery and mechanical assemblies such as, but not limited to, benders, saws, end formers, sanders, notchers, pleaters, automated machinery and brake presses.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair simple to complex operating systems.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CNC controls & repair, as well as (electrical/mechanical), PLCs.
- Welding / Fabrication skills, a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to read measurement tools, and perform basic shop math

Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma and associate degree or tech school certification in mechanical, electrical/electronic or industrial technology and maintenance and a minimum of 5 years in a facilities maintenance and/or industrial/manufacturing environment, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Forklift Certification – stand-up and sit-down, a plus
Hours: Mon - Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm
