Job Title: Spray Coatings Technician – Dry Film Lubricants
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Coatings Technician with a strong focus on dry film lubricant applications. This role is responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing specialized coatings on a variety of metal components to meet strict quality, thickness, and performance specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with spray equipment, surface prep, and coating processes in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare parts for coating through cleaning, masking, blasting, and surface conditioning
• Apply dry film lubricants and other coatings using spray systems (HVLP, air-assisted, or conventional)
• Monitor and control coating thickness to meet engineering and customer specifications
• Mix coatings and solvents according to manufacturer guidelines and technical data sheets
• Inspect coated parts for defects, coverage, and adhesion quality
• Perform curing processes (oven, air cure, etc.) based on product requirements
• Maintain spray equipment, guns, booths, and related tools
• Follow all safety procedures regarding chemicals, ventilation, and PPE
• Document production, materials used, and quality checks
• Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure consistent output

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in industrial spray coatings, powder coating, or wet paint application
• Experience with dry film lubricants (such as moly or PTFE-based coatings) preferred
• Understanding of surface preparation techniques (e.g., sandblasting, degreasing)
• Ability to read and follow technical specifications and work instructions
• Familiarity with measuring tools (micrometers, thickness gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to lift and handle parts and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent required
