Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and Monitor Electroplating Baths
• Perform routine testing to monitor metal concentrations, additives, and contamination levels.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical analyses and adjustments.
• Prepare and Maintain Electroplating Solutions
• Make up new electroplating baths according to process specifications.
• Clean and rejuvenate existing baths to restore optimum performance.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Plating Issues
• Diagnose defects and irregularities in plated parts.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for bath chemistry or process adjustments.
• Chemical Management
• Oversee safe storage, handling, and inventory control of chemicals.
• Manage hazardous waste in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure all plating operations meet environmental, safety, and industry standards.
• Maintain up-to-date records for inspections and audits.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3 years of hands-on experience in electroplating chemistry, surface finishing, or metal coatings.
• Strong understanding of electrochemistry, plating bath maintenance, and defect troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
• Proficient with wet chemistry analytical techniques and lab instrumentation.
Preferred:
• Experience with multiple plating processes (e.g., Anodizing, Cadmium, zinc, and electroless nickel).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality/environmental management systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
