Advanced Fiber Products is seeking a passionate Human Resources Manager to be a part of the Advanced Fiber Products leadership team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at building relationships, and brings a mix of administrative results and strategic thinking to HR functions. This position will work closely with leadership team to meet evolving workforce needs and support a positive employee experience.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing HR functions, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills who can effectively manage employee relations and support organizational growth.
Responsibilities
· Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
· Manage employee relations by addressing workplace issues, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organizations business goals.
- Lead managers through complex employee relations issues and maintaining appropriate documentation throughout
- Responsible for payroll inputs and assist with the bi-weekly hourly and salary payroll processing and verification.
- Engage in regular collaborative communication with the hiring managers on open requisitions.
- Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulations such as FMLA and affirmative action planning.
- Administer all employee benefits, including the annual benefits enrollment process, healthcare changes, healthcare related claims, insurance verification letters, leave of absence, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
- Conduct regular employee evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate employee records through data entry and management systems.
- Collaborate with management to develop HR policies that align with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on employment labor laws to ensure organizational compliance.
- Ability to work off-shift hours occasionally to support the various weekday and weekend shifts.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in Human Resources required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR with proven experience in Human Resources management or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of employee evaluation processes, benefits administration, and training development.
- Current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive employee relations.
- Experience in employee benefits administration, and understanding of FMLA regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Leads with a high level of integrity and accountability
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
