Optometric/Medical Assistant – Join Our Busy Optometry Team!
Are you passionate about eye care and ready to be part of a dynamic, busy optometry practice? We are seeking a dedicated Optometric/Medical Assistant to support our team across two thriving locations.
Position: Optometric/Medical Assistant
Locations: Two busy offices (Picayune, Ms and Pearl River, LA)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
What You'll Do:
- Assist optometrists during eye exams and medical procedures
- Perform pre-exam assessments including vision tests and patient history
- Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience
- Assist with contact lens training and instruction
- Handle patient records and insurance paperwork with accuracy
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment
- Educate patients on eye care and follow-up procedures
- Travel between both clinic locations is required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as an optometric or medical assistant is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Compassionate and friendly attitude toward patients
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy practice
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
