What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician--Training provided! position at Advanced Eye Care Professionals?
We are seeking a personable and genuinely friendly personality to continue to create a “Wow” experience for every patient that walks into our office. This is open as a full time position, $17/hr with additional $1/hr after you're fully trained and on your own. Hours: M-Th 9-5 with unpaid lunch from 12-1, Fridays: 9-Noon. No evenings or weekends. PTO plus major holidays (as well as day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and your birthday). Health insurance available. Employee discount.
Overview: perform pre-test scans, patient history, preliminary tests of eye exam, getting patients ready to see the doctor for eye exams as well as problem focused office visits. Perform special testing as needed (Visual field, OCT, Retina photos, dry eye evaluations, tear care, IPL). Also will cross-train in optical for ordering glasses and ordering contact lenses. No previous experience is required (although it’s a bonus if you have prior experience in eye care). Outstanding communication skills are a must. Basic computer skills are required because we use electronic health records. We offer paid cross training as needed to the right person with a great attitude and willingness to learn.
