We are looking for an ambitious individual with outbound sales experience to lead our small, but growing sales department. This position carries a quota with it so the Sales Manager will be expected to sell our solutions. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, an efficient salesperson, and a strategic, long-term thinker.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly build a rapport with new stakeholders and develop long-term relationships.
- Providing influential presentations in person or via web meetings.
- Leverage the list of accounts and probable buyers, hunting for new logos, and new inbound prospects from calls, website traffic and trade shows.
- Generate interest with key stakeholders to procure discovery conversations or meetings at multiple levels throughout the organization.
- Ask effective questions and actively listen to uncover the customer’s current situation including problems, desired situation, business drivers, needs and decision-making processes.
- Understand company’s value proposition and competitive advantages in order to effectively differentiate and sell the value of the solution in a competitive market.
- Price validation on customer’s daily purchase orders.
- Analyze, prepare, and provide customer price quotes.
- Provide direct management of staffing in the sales department.
- Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
- Reach out to customers for additional opportunities as directed in the sales process.
- Manage and process a qualified pipeline of opportunities by prioritizing assigned accounts and prospects.
- Close profitable deals from existing and new customers.
Skills:
- Demonstrated success hunting for new business -- meeting sales goals, growing sales.
- Experience in the plastics field via extrusion, molding, thermoforming, or plastic resin industry helpful.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience tracking and managing information.
- PC proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) required.
