Job Title: Assembly Lead – 1st Shift
Location: Lakeville, MN
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $28 – $36 per hour

Position Summary:
The Assembly Lead is responsible for supervising the assembly team, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. This role plays a key part in process improvement, staff training, and cross-department collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and manage a team of assembly staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work to maintain high-quality standards and first-pass yield; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Training & Development: Train staff on assembly techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation; mentor less experienced team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production planning teams to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure fabrication equipment is properly maintained to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment; Forklift and scissor lift certification preferred.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a production team, driving safety, quality, and performance goals.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify root causes, implement effective solutions, and take timely corrective action.
- Communication: Clear communication skills to interact with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
- Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and identifying at least two near-misses per week.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and task prioritization to meet production deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement: Openness to learning and implementing new technologies and techniques to improve production processes.
