We are currently looking for a full time Project Manager Assistant.
This is a full time position with benefits as follows: Health Insurance (60% paid by AEL), vision and dental; paid time off, 7 paid holidays, 1 (8 hours) Floating Holiday; FSA/HSA; short and long term disability paid by AEL (no charge to employees) and life term also paid by AEL. Volunteer hours are also available (up to 4 per year) and social events with food!
AEL Laboratories business hours are 8 AM – 5 PM, with operational hours to include 7 AM - 7 PM Monday through Friday. Peak times could require to work 7 days a week, including holidays when needed.

The Project Manager Assistant (PMA) will become familiar with the complexities of the ongoing project work within their functional working group and offer assistance to the Project Manager Team and Sample Receiving.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Effective communicator, multi-tasking, computer/clerical, math/chemistry a plus
Basic Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers phone calls and assists clients with requests related to sampling, reporting, billing, etc.; takes messages as needed for the PM team
- Promptly follows up on phone calls (makes or returns specific phone calls) as directed by PM or LM for their ongoing projects, scheduling, order tracking, building maintenance, etc.
- Reviews accuracy of login information daily as entered into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and requests corrections or modifications as needed
- Scans Chains of Custody (COCs) and assists log in with paperwork as needed.
- Checks on TAT and on time report delivery for the PM team
- Assists login department as needed in overflow and/or coverage situations
- Informs clients of any sample receipt anomalies and provides technical support for the resolution of such issues
- Assists in preparation of reports and narratives as required in the LIMS system
- Entry level client assignments include BacT reporting, Walk-In private wells and other clients with simple reporting requirements
- Reviews invoices for accuracy vs. quotes and contracts
- Follows AEL LIMS electronic workflow as instructed
- Assists in subcontracting of samples in network and to other laboratories
- Attend and participate in the daily status meeting
- Provides backup coverage during Project Manager absence
- Performs other Project Manager support-duties as assigned
- Follows policies outlined in the AEL Employee Handbook
- Reports directly to the CSM and/or LM
Rate: $20 to $22/hr. depending on experience
