Responsibilities
We are seeking a chemist that is passionate about making our world a better and greener place to live. This Chemist will bring expertise in polymer chemistry, material science, formulation, and/or characterization to ADS. This position will involve the analysis of samples using the following methodologies: thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermomechanical analysis (TMA), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), FTIR, melt flow index and various other polymer analysis techniques. Reporting to the manager of material science, this position will contribute to efforts to increase the use of different polyolefin recycled stream towards sustainable water management solutions.

Required Skills
- Preparation of samples---involves using hand tools as necessary to generate samples of appropriate size.
- Understanding of material specification standards such as ASTM.
- Excellent working knowledge in the operation of thermal analysis instrumentation such as TGA, DMA, DSC, and Rheometer.
- Excellent working knowledge in the operation of GPC, FTIR and melt flow indexers.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively on teams by interacting with other scientists, engineers, and technicians.
- Good problem-solving skills and the willingness to solve complex problems using a systematic approach.
- Exhibits initiative, curiosity, and a positive attitude on how to get the job done.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Essential to the success in this role will be excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
- Proficient with all Microsoft office software.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or a related discipline scientific field.
- 3-7 years of experience in a materials testing or analytical lab setting.
- Excited to work with a diverse group of Chemists and engineers to solve the complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.
