Job Summary:
The candidate should be an experienced Simulator Instructor/Operator. The TAF JLTV simulation will support the United States Marine Corp (USMC) in Camp Pendleton, CA. This simulation operation will provide data to the Technical Integration Center (TECOM) program, located at Quantico, VA. The JLTV Simulator TAF will provide driver’s training, simulating JLTV systems operation, emergency procedures, and instrumentation. The JLTV simulation training program will equip US Marine Corp. and other government personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the JLTV effectively. The JLTV simulation encompasses various elements, including hands-on training sessions and theoretical modules.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide simulated JLTV Driver’s training to students and observers with special emphasis on proper use of all JLTV systems, emergency procedure training, and instrument procedures.
- Develop and update a simulator availability schedule and ensure unit coordination is accomplished via an electronic database.
- Maintain, record and coordinate student evaluation on simulator benefits.
- Identify to student which program is being utilized, i.e. the Tactical Drivers Course, Forging River, etc.
- Track simulator schedule availability to ensure student workload can be managed, preventing any overload of personnel.
- Perform updates to the simulator availability schedule to accommodate any required maintenance.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must reside near Camp Pendleton, CA
- Experienced Simulator Operator with 5 years minimum experience.
- Experienced instructor (completed Instructor course or equivalent experience).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and proven writing skills.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven experience accomplishing duties associated with training simulator.
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend continuously for 4 to 6 hours a day
- Must be able to pick up and carry 50 lbs. for more than 100 feet, 10 times a day
Desired Requirements:
- Retired or former Marine.
- Experienced in US Marine Corp. terminology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point.
- Experience with JLTV operation.
- Possess customer service and teamwork attitude.
