What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dermatology Medical Billing Specialist position at Advanced Dermatology?
Overview
We are looking to hire one (1) full time, experienced, Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be personable, intelligent, and a dynamic team player, with excellent customer service and phone handling skills, and at least three years of work experience in a similar practice (preferably dermatology).
Responsibilities
- All facets of medical billing and accounts receivable management including charge entry, payment posting, customer service.
- Reviewing the patient demographic and insurance information in the practice management system.
- Reviewing the physician’s coding to ensure accuracy, checking eligibility, referral and pre-authorization using different insurance portals such as Availity, Pear, Novitasphere and other insurance websites.
- Submitting insurance claims and claim corrections.
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
