Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of dental assisting, including chairside support, patient management, and familiarity with dental software systems. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic and providing exceptional care to our patients. Willing to do in office training with the right candidate!
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Manage patient records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct preliminary assessments and documenting medical history.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral health practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques at all times.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management.
- Proficiency in using dental software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with 3D scanners and medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
