Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer specializing in Building Automation and Access Control Systems, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing building automation systems and access control solutions. Daily tasks include working with mechanical, and software engineering teams, leveraging computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and engaging in system design and development processes. The role also involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs and ensuring solutions are implemented effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience with Design Engineering and Product Design
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Experience in building automation and access control systems is a plus
- Associate’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or technical field or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledgeable in DDC control applications pertaining to the HVAC industry.
- Experience with the Schneider Electric product line preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and AutoCAD or Visio required.
- Experience with MS Project, Studio 360 and Foundation is a Plus
