Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager seeking a role where you can combine leadership, organization, and hands-on skills?
Advanced Construction LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to manage construction projects in and around Mystic, CT. In this role, you will oversee every stage of the construction process—from planning and budgeting to execution and delivery—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will utilize project management software to streamline operations and maintain clear communication with clients and workforce.
This is a dual-role position requiring both strong project management expertise and hands-on construction skills. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coordinating subcontractors and clients as they are working in the field.
You will supervise, plan, and execute projects while also performing carpentry and fieldwork when needed.
Project Management
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate timelines to meet milestones.
- Budget & Financial Management: Monitor expenses, manage budgets, review/approve invoices, and prepare Change Orders and RFIs to ensure profitability and transparency.
- Contract Oversight: Review, negotiate, and manage client and subcontractor agreements to ensure alignment with project scope.
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily job site activities to confirm compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks or delays early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Technology & Documentation: Maintain accurate records (daily logs, progress reports, RFIs, change orders, material tracking) using project management software (BuilderTrend preferred).
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Conduct inspections and resolve deficiencies.
- Additional Duties: Support company initiatives and complete other construction-related tasks as needed.
Hands-On Carpentry & Field Work
- Perform framing, siding, roofing, trim, and finish carpentry on new builds, renovations, and additions.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders accurately.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials with precision.
- Install doors, windows, cabinetry, and other carpentry components.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site.
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior team members and laborers.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
