Job Summary
We seek a reliable and hardworking General Construction Worker to join our team for home remodeling of kitchens, bathrooms, decks, flooring, various repairs, siding and other residential work. Various jobs sites are primarily located in Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake. The ideal candidate will assist with various construction projects throughout the area, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of diverse building projects. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Emphasis on carpentry and related work.
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including unloading trucks and organizing materials and tools.
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- Support skilled tradespeople by providing necessary assistance during construction activities
- Trips to pick up construction materials from local sources such as Home Depot.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, roofing, or other specific tasks as needed
- Ensure materials and equipment are used efficiently and properly maintained
- Participate in site safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations
Requirements
- 4 Years Experience in either carpentry, remodeling, other construction
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a reasonably safe driving record
- Must have a valid smart phone or smart device in order to log into Company required systems
- Must be reliable, punctual (generally arriving on-site at 8:00am),
- Able to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic understanding of construction tools and materials is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in addition to indoor work (most often single-family homes)
- Must be at least 18 years old

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
